Foxy misbehaves when I have visitors

1. Whenever someone comes to my house, my terrier mix makes a terrible fuss.  she not only barks loudly and uncontrollably, she will empty the trash, eat her bed, climb onto the table, snap at the cats, etc. and doesn't stop until the person leaves, when she switches off suddenly and becomes calm again.
   

I adopted her at the age of six and have had her three years now and have no trouble with her except for this.

1. can anyone make suggestions on how to deal with her excitement and/or stop it?
