how can I stop my cat from pooping everywhere in the house ?

Im not an expert by all means but when i litter box trained my past cats i made sure that they understood were the bathroom was. That was pretty easy if you see your cat about to potty hurry and it in the litter box also i think that if they smell that they have used that spot before than maybe they would want to use it again. Just suggestions. Good luck!
