Crippled lethargic field mouse in need of help

I caught a field mouse in a live trap and it's lethargic and thin. I put it in an old hamster cage with bedding and a hot water bag under the cage for warmth. I offered it soft carrots and water but I don't have a syringe or dropper to water it with and no where near me to take it. I live in a very "roden bad ew" area. How do I help it?

    Poor little mouse! It sounds like you're doing your best to help it. Offering warmth and soft food is a good start. If you can't get a syringe or dropper, maybe try placing a small dish of water near it.
